SUBMERGE 150' submersible catamaran
Submerge - 150' Submersible Catamaran Marine Design Resource Alliance (MDRA) 1st place 2010 winner - Most Innovative Concept
"The future will see us multi-tasking even more than we currently do on a day-to-day basis. We will we be expected to be more efficient – both in work and leisure – and in turn, we’ll expect our means of efficiency to perform at a higher, more functional level.
The concept 150 ft. catamaran featured here, dubbed ‘Submerge,’ embodies this multi-functional quality, sporting a 2-in-1 craft design. Designed by Alex Marzo, the catamaran has two modes of operation, namely, 'Explorer Mode' and ‘Submerge Mode.’ Using a sophisticated suspension system, the craft is able to physically transform itself thus offering two different boating experiences. This unique function allows the catamaran to shift from ‘Explorer Mode’ – a platform-like state where the craft hovers above the water like a floating home – to “Submerge Mode’ – where the craft becomes a shallow-diving submarine of sorts. In this mode, the hull is lowered just below the water’s surface so the deck becomes partially submerged, allowing the boat’s occupants to view the magnificent underwater scenery through the aluminate glass at the bottom of the craft, all while staying dry.”

VOLVO ANT TRUCK
Envisioning the future of Long-Haul Transportation for 2025.
This client sponsored project was a study in how to improve transportation on a larger scale. Everyday, the products we consume are carried, transported and distributed to us, consumers.
My concept explores the possibilities in Biomimiciry; the examination of nature, its models, systems, processes, and elements to emulate or take inspiration from in order to solve human problems. The Volvo Aero-Neumatic-Transport-Systems is inspired by ants. Their ability to communicate with each other, distribute food, and all responsibilities in their community is fascinating.
The idea is to lease micro-containers to multiple companies to make sure they are filled to capacity. Their union is flexible, therefore allowing better articulation in navigation and avoid jack knife accidents.

AUDI AR5
The Audi AR5 is an experiment in evolving my creative process. In search of a creative formula, the project undergoes extensive design studies in a subtractive manner. The work showcases the vehicle as solid forms, interlocked/chopped parts, and other methods with the goal of developing unique proportions.
In search of a final design, the vehicle meshes the design/performance capabilities of a sports car and utilitarian functionality of a Sport Wagon. Audi Avant + R8 + A5= AR5
The project was finalized as a 1/4 scale (25%) clay model of the vehicle's actual dimensions. And evaluated by the design team at Volkswagen Design Center, California. More photos to come soon!

BUGATTI 64T
Currently displayed at the Mullin Automotive Museum. http://www.mullinautomotivemuseum.com/the-collection.html
The Bugatti 64 Timeless project was commissioned by world renown Car collector, Peter Mullin. He is the sole owner of the 1939 Bugatti Type 64 chassis. (A project that was never finished by the Bugatti family) With this mechanical artifact, he was in search of a passionate design that would represent a timeless feeling that Bugatti's had, and still have. The 64T visually depicts beautiful curvaceous lines, and a sheer body that hugs the chassis and engine. (See Press)
